Ingolf Bruun

The Danish Ingolf Bruun (1944–1993) studied textile design and began his career as a set designer in 1981 at the Bristol Theatre in Copenhagen. He gained a lot of attention with his design for Søren Iversen‘s production of Botho Strauß’ Groß und Klein at the Theatre Odense. He created numerous rooms for the summer revues in Hjørring but also set designs for great classics such as Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at the Aalborg Theater, Ibsen’s Rosmersholm at the Royal Theatre or Shakespeare’s The Tempest at Aveny Theatre in Copenhagen. His set design for Giselle was created for the Vienna State Opera Ballet in 1993.
