Katharina Pichler

Katharina Pichler, born in Vienna (Austria), received her acting training at the Schauspielschule Krauss in Vienna. Engagements followed at the Schauspielhaus Graz (Austria), Thalia Theater Hamburg (Germany), Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, and Schauspielhaus Köln (Germany). She was also a member of the ensemble at the Theater in der Josefstadt and the Residenztheater in Munich (Germany).

In the 2019/20 season, Katharina Pichler moved from Munich to Vienna to join the Burgtheater, where she can currently be seen in the acclaimed production of Die Zauberflöte as the Queen of the Night.

In addition to her stage work, she regularly appears in film and television. She starred in the film Verfolgt, which won the Golden Leopard at the 59th Locarno International Film Festival (Switzerland) in 2006. In the TV series Der Lissabon Krimi, she plays the recurring role of Signora Beatrice.
